Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hardy… There are very few other names that get me as excited about the release of a brand new trailer than these two, and what a beauty we have here.

The Revenant, is from Alejandro González Iñárritu, the director of the 2015 Best Picture Oscar winning film, Birdman (2014).
Based on this stomper of a teaser, the film’s tale of vengeance might just be the one. You know, the film that finally gets that Best Actor golden trophy in the hands of… you know.
Part of what makes Christopher Nolan’s Inception (2010) so very good, is Hans Zimmer’s brilliant musical score.
Unfortunately, since the the film’s release, seemingly far lesser movies keep using it. I say ‘seemingly far lesser’ because I can’t actually see myself ever watching any of the offending titles.
I admit, I’m probably too attached to the original film and music, but all the trailers I’ve seen that use the Inception score really don’t look very promising. If they did, I wouldn’t be writing this.
You only have to watch the following Airborne (2012) trailer to see and understand.

Unsurprisingly, Martin Scorsese’s TheWolf of Wall Street (2013) is absolutely dripping with testosterone. Additionally, typical of all other popular accounts of life on Wall Street, there’s plenty, and then some, of the expected excess and debauchery.

Based on a true story about the rise and fall of Jordan Belfort (DiCaprio’s character), the audience, particularly the ambitious, will relate to the protagonist’s determination to succeed, and also see the many ways the American dream can go very wrong indeed.
With plenty of well-written male banter (one of my favourite things) and great performances all round, you will spend a surprising amount of time laughing. And, of course, Leonardo DiCaprio and his more than qualified supporting cast absolutely deliver.
The Mark Hanna character played by Matthew McConaughey is so entertaining that you’ll find yourself wanting more.

Jonah Hill, an actor better known for comedy hits including Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’sSuperbad (2007), is great as Donny Azoff. Azoff’s teeth and hair may be highly questionable, but you’ll see that Hill’s performance certainly isn’t.
Ladies will enjoy this movie, but gentlemen will absolutely love it far more.
