Lucy Liu, Jacki Weaver and  Adrian Grenier are the stars of new comedy/drama Stage Mother.

Directed by Thom Fitzgerald, Stage Mother is the story of a conservative church choir director (Weaver), who inherits her late son’s San Francisco drag club.

This one is for when the need for a feel good movie strikes. That happens more frequently than usual these days, and I’m not mad about that.

There’s also the fact that I’ve been a Lucy Liu fan ever since Ally McBeal. There’s also Jacki Weaver who just happens to be great in everything.

Mya Taylor, Lenore Zann, Anthony Skordi, Sofia Banzhaf, Eldon Thiele, Vox Smith, Oscar Moreno, Hugh Thompson and Allister MacDonald also star.

Directed by Claire Scanlon, in Set It Up Zoey Deutch and Glen Powell play two corporate executive assistants who hatch a plan to match-make their two bosses played by Taye Diggs and Lucy Liu…

This one should hopefully be good for when I’m in the mood for some ‘easy viewing.’ I like Diggs and Liu. The latter especially because I’m forever a massive fan of her character (Ling Woo) in Ally McBeal.

Set It Up Release Dates: June 15th, 2018 (US)…

KUNG FU PANDA 3 (2016): For The Overwhelming Cuteness…

Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016), Jack Black as Po
Kung Fu Panda 3 (2016), Jack Black as Po

I’m certain that most people, especially children will find Kung Fu Panda 3 very entertaining indeed.

Just as I’m sure that the movie has a lovely message about fulfilling your destiny, doing the right thing, family, friendship,  etc. I for one watched Kung Fu Panda 3 in the most part for the humour. The story is definitely good too but mostly, the cuteness of the animals was my biggest draw – and on that basis the movie delivered.

Bryan Cranston’s Li voice and the ‘egg laying out of fear’ joke / sequence are definite highlights.

Watch it for the reasons above and because it’s actually good.

Jack Black, Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, J.K. Simmons Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan and Lucy Liu are among the rest of the key cast.
