I’m Not Here is the story of a man struggling with the tragic memories of his past while trying to make sense of his present. He soon realises that time isn’t quite the enemy he thought it to be.

Directed and co-written by Michelle Schumacher, I’m Not Here stars J.K. Simmons, Mandy Moore, Sebastian Stan, Maika Monroe, Max Greenfield.

Looks like I’m going to be moved, probably to tears watching this one. Still, I remain curious about the story but also I want to see how the chemistry is between the actors involved. especially since I don’t think I could have imagined them all together in one film until now.

Additional cast includes Iain Armitage, Harold Perrineau, Jeremy Maguire and David Wexler.

Random thoughts that entered my mind as I watched this trailer…

‘Wow, that’s a lot of colour in one shot.’ ‘There’s plenty going on in each shot.’ ‘I want to use the Internet, not see its colourful, super crazy-busy inner workings.’ Am I feeling dizzy? I’m pretty sure the visuals are making me dizzy.’ ‘That little girl in the car looks so much like baby Moana; I love baby Moana because I AM baby Moana!’ So good is the animation, I nearly through up when the bunny ate its last pile of pancakes.’

There you have it. I’m both ready and not ready to watch Wreck-It Ralph 2.

Kelly Macdonald, Auli’i Cravalho, Alan Tudyk and Taraji P. Henson also star.

I’m not currently sure that I buy all the terror Moore and Holt are projecting. As such, I’m thinking of  giving this movie a go just so I can decide for sure. That’s a good enough reason, surely.
