The latest Disney Pixar film is Hoppers, an animation/adventure/comedy about an animal lover’s use of technology to uncover the secrets of the animal world.

Directed by Daniel Chong; Jon Hamm, Piper Curda and Bobby Moynihan star.

This is just my kind of cute. I already love the bear and hope we get plenty of time with her.

I say bring on the definitely ‘like Avatar (2009)‘ shenanigans, and, also like The Secret Life of Pets (2016)/Animals‘ vibes.

Even though it’s being released three months later, it’s not unlikely that I’ll watch this before the upcoming Avatar: Fire and Ash (2026) film. Especially because it’s guaranteed to have a much shorter running time.

Will you also be hopping along to the movie theatre or film room to see this one?

The latest animation/adventure/comedy from Disney Pixar stars Mamoudou Athie and Leah Lewis as Ember and Wade.

Directed by PeterSohn of The Good Dinosaur (2015); Ember and Wade are two elements in a city where fire-, water, land and air live together.

Looking like a love story between fire and water, I’m hoping there’ll be a lot more to it to keep us all engaged. I mean, I already love the name Ember, so that’s certainly a good place to start.

What are your thoughts at this point? How intriguing do you find this story compared to some of your favourite Pixar films?

Read my spoiler-free movie review of  Soul (2020).

Soul is the latest animated adventure from Disney Pixar starring Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey and John Ratzenberger.

From directors Pete Docter and Kemp Powers, Foxx plays Joe Gardner, a musician who has lost his passion for music. Joe is transported out of his body and must find his way back, with the help of an infant soul learning about herself.

Before reading the synopsis, I watched the trailer, and by the end, all that came out of my mouth was ‘Huh?‘

Now, after paying closer attention to the clues, Joe is very likely in between life and death. It looks like this will be another clever and especially moving Pixar movie and I’m definitely OK with that.

Daveed Diggs, Phylicia Rashad, and Ahmir-Khalib Thompson also star

Coco is Disney Pixar’s latest animated comedy/adventure.

Starring Benjamin Bratt, Gael García Bernal and Renee Victor, it’s all about a 12-year-old boy named Miguel (Anthony Gonzalez) and a century-old mystery that leads to an extraordinary family reunion.

I like the sound of Coco. Perhaps even more than that, I’m excited about the promise of a great new film about listening to your heart and going towards your dreams.

Coco is directed by Lee Unkrich and Adrian Molina.
