Halal Daddy is a comedy all about a young man’s life as he manages a run-down abattoir, while dealing with cultural chaos, generational conflicts, enraged fathers, stoned buddies and the alleged ex-lover of his girlfriend.
Directed by Conor McDermottroe; Nikesh Patel, Sarah Bolger, Colm Meaney and Art Malik are the stars.
I like the rather peculiar title and that this is a comedy. I’m slightly drawn to this movie, probably in large part because it reminds me a little of the rather good East Is East (1999). I also want to find out how things transpire for Raghdan and his father, Aziz.
Happy Film Loving,
