Set in a seaside town in Italy, The Life Ahead stars Sophia Loren as a Holocaust survivor with a daycare business who takes in the 12-year-old street kid (Ibrahima Gueye) who recently robbed her.
Directed by Edoardo Ponti; additional key cast includes Abril Zamora and Renato Carpentieri.
What a pleasant surprise it was to see the iconic Loren in this trailer. I’ll be watching as a fan and to see a young boy’s transformation, thanks to the kindness of a stranger.
Babak Karimi, Massimiliano Rossi and Francesco Cassano also star.
The Life Ahead Release Dates: November 13th, 2020 (US), Netflix…

This looks really, really good but I don’t like to watch movies I have to read what they say, so disappointed.
I do understand you about subtitled movies. They often require more work from the viewer. However, there are some subtitled movies that are so good and the pacing of the the dialogue and text is just right that you don’t even notice that you’re reading. The example I’m thinking of is PARASITE, my favourite film of 2019.
Hopefully the text in this movie will be well paced and the story great.
Well, damn. When the trailer makes you cry, you know the movie is gonna be excellent! Love Sophia Loren!
It’s very moving indeed. Sophia will of course be great but how talented is the young boy too, right? 👏
