Based on the acclaimed novel by Elizabeth Brundage; Amanda Seyfried and James Norton star in new mystery/horror Things Heard and Seen; the story of an artist who relocates to the Hudson Valley. Once there, she begins to suspect that her marriage has a sinister darkness.
Directed by Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini; additional key cast includes Natalia Dyer, Michael O’Keefe and James Urbaniak.
I’m curious because I like Seyfried. However, I fear that this will be one of those ‘just OK’ Netflix movies when what I’d really like is something very good.
Alex Neustaedter, Jack Gore, Michael Abbott Jr., Kelcy Griffin, Cotter Smith, Ana Sophia Heger and Olivia Boreham-Wing also star.
Things Heard & Seen release dates: April 29th, 2021 (US), Netflix

Looks pretty good and not too frightening.
Not too frightening is exactly my type of scary movie. Especially if it involves religion because religion-themed horror films are more likely to give me nightmares.
Amanda Seyfried has a most uniquely graceful presence for dark dramas and thrillers. Particularly starting with her breakthrough role in Chloe.
You’re absolutely right. I love that all the great actors have very unique qualities to them; the kind that make their contributions difficult to forget.
As far as thrillers are concerned, Angie Dickinson and Michael Caine in Dressed To Kill were the first to win my best appreciate for that.
This looks good. I like the cast so I will defiantly see this one.
Fingers crossed it’s very good.
I’ll of course be watching early in the morning so I can minimise the chance of nightmares. 🤓
That might be a good idea. 👍
