The trailer for Emerald Fennell’s film version of Emily Brontë’s classic novel, Wuthering Heights, has landed, and it looks good.

The intense romance/drama stars Margot Robbie, Shazad Latif and Jacob Elordi.

Unlike my lukewarm reaction to the teaser trailer a couple of months ago, this looks great! I’m officially interested. Especially as watching this trailer reminded me a little more of Catherine and Heathcliff’s story. It truly is an epic one, as far as romances go.

Just as well, this will be released around Valentine’s Day 2026, in time for all the lovers.

Are you also convinced that this is officially rather promising? I’m certainly ready for more of the gorgeous red all over this trailer.

Hong Chau, Ewan Mitchell, Owen Cooper, Alison Oliver, Martin Clunes and Vy Nguyen also star.

Wuthering Heights Release Dates: February 13th, 2026 (US & UK)…

Happy Film Loving,

G

  1. This looks like it will provide a very, very nice return on investment for the studio when it opens. Valentine’s Day weekend is a perfect release date for this film. Looks like they got it right from what I see in the new trailer. I think this will be a big hit.

  2. Aw, you got my hopes up there Gia 😀 I love this book and have read it so many times but have never yet seen an accurate film representation of it. I don’t like the look of this at all. Catherine Earnshaw is dark-haired. Emily Bronte deliberately described her as dark, in contrast to the pale and delicate Lintons 😀 Margot Robbie doesn’t look like her at all – plus her teeth are far too white! No, this doesn’t look like Wuthering Heights to me 😀

    1. I’m so sorry! 😁
I should have been clearer. As a romantic movie experience, it looks great. However, when it comes to loyalty to Brontë’s characters and story, I have a feeling we probably can’t rely on director Emerald Fennell for that. Do you think you’ll be able to watch it as a story inspired by W.H., rather than one that’s true to the book? Hollywood always seems to have to make adjustments.

      1. I guess you’re right, they do always seem to want to make their own versions. But it’s such an amazing story I don’t understand why they would mess with it 😀 I think I’ll give it a miss 😀 xx

  3. This trailer clearly states it’s “inspired by”. I’ll also admit I was not fully convinced by the previous one but this looks promising. By the end of it Margot disappeared into the role.
As a side note, something about this interpretation reminds me of Romeo + Juliet by Baz Luhrmann. The vibrant colors in certain scenes.
