The Donut King is a new documentary about Ted Ngoy, a Cambodian American entrepreneur and former owner of a chain of doughnut shops in California.

Co-written and directed by Alice Gu; this one’s a story of fate, love, survival, hard knocks, and redemption.

Like almost every single human ever, I love donuts.I’m seeing this to spend some time looking at donuts through a screen while eating one and learning about Ngoy’s extraordinary story.

I look forward to learning about how he build his empire and redeemed himself years later after it all went wrong.

Chuong Pek Lee, Susan Lim, Daewon Song and Mayly Tao are also featured.
