Lion, directed by Garth Davis and starring Dev Patel, Nicole Kidman and Rooney Mara tells the true story of Saroo Brierley, a young boy separated from his family in Calcutta at age five, and his journey to find them 25 years later.
Slumdog Millionnaire (2008) is the last great Dev Patel movie I saw. I’m sure there’s a handful I’ll get to soon, but I’d really like to start with Lion. Bring on the happy ending, I say. If only for all the other times when the real life endings are far from happy.
David Wenham, Tannishtha Chatterjee and Benjamin Rigby also star.

Rooney is great. I’m still yet to watch Carol (2015) but I loved her in The Social Network (2010)
