Bright Lights – Starring Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds is a new documentary about the famously close relationship between mother / daughter and Hollywood royalty, Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher – both of whom passed away very recently in 2016 and just a few days apart…

I confess that I only just realised that Reynolds & Fisher were actual mother and daughter. Before their passing, I’d known of Fisher because of Star Wars and Reynolds mainly for her role in Will & Grace.

Directed by Alexis Bloom, Fisher Stevens and featuring Carrie’s sibling Todd Fisher, I’m most curious about the strong mother/ daughter bond, particularly since it’s of the kind that many mothers and daughters can only fantasise about.
