Bright Lights – Starring Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds is a new documentary about the famously close relationship between mother/daughter and Hollywood royalty, Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher – both of whom passed away very recently in 2016 and just a few days apart.

I confess that I only just realised that Reynolds & Fisher were family. Before their passing, I knew of Fisher because of Star Wars and Reynolds, mainly for her role in Will & Grace.

Directed by Alexis Bloom, Fisher Stevens and featuring Carrie’s sibling Todd Fisher, I’m most curious about the strong mother/daughter bond, particularly since it’s of the kind that many mothers and daughters can only fantasise about.
