I don’t know much about the American school system but I have definitely heard about High School being ‘the worst.’ With that said, I hope that Kayla won’t find out that high school is actually the real ‘disaster.’
I like this trailer. I’m excited about the film’s potential usefulness because of the way it covers some of the truth of the eighth grade experience, plus its focus on the subject of being authentically oneself. The trailer shows us a teacher getting involved in ‘dabbing’ and another teacher using the slang of her students to fit in. Clearly even the adults need to learn to ‘be themselves.’
