Linda Ronstadt – The Sound of My Voice is a musical biography of one of the twentieth Century’s most successful musicians / recording artists.
Directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman, Linda Ronstadt tells the musician’s story through her own words and featuring commentary by her professional colleagues including Bonnie Raitt, Dolly Parton, Cameron Crowe…
As I watched this I thought, considering all her huge accomplishments, how had I never heard of Linda? Part of the reason is that Ronstadt was huge a few decades before my time. There are other reasons I’m sure; some of which I imagine will come to light in this documentary.
Overall, as young as I may be, I’m actually glad that I did recognise one of Linda’s biggest hits When will I be loved, (probably thanks to a movie I’ve seen).
David Geffen, Emmylou Harris, Jackson Browne, Aaron Neville, Maria Muldaur and archival footage of Ringo Starr, Glenn Frey, Johnny Cash plus Johnny Carson is also featured.
Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice Release Dates: September 6th, 2019 (US)…
