What happened behind the scenes in the last 90 minutes leading up to the first broadcast of Saturday Night Live (SNL) is the story of Saturday Night. The new Jason Reitman-directed comedy/drama/biography.
Key cast includes Dylan O’Brien, Nicholas Braun, Matt Wood, Gabriel LaBelle and Finn Wolfhard.
Hello, good trailer edit!
I’m looking forward to watching all this chaos come together, especially as a fan of SNL and the entrepreneurial spirit.
How perfect that this movie will be released exactly 49 years after Saturday Night Live debuted on television.
The following are just three of my favourite SNL sketches.
- 39 Cents, with Bill Hader
- Westminster Daddy, featuring Matt Damon
- Complicit, starring Scarlett Johansson
Lamorne Morris, Ella Hunt, J.K. Simmons, Cory Michael Smith, Rachel Sennott, Kaia Gerber, Matthew Rhys and Kim Matula also star.
Saturday Night Release Dates: October 11th, 2024 (US)…
Happy Film Loving,

Can’t wait
It does look pretty special. 🥂
I have hopes for this movie. Especially with the upcoming Oscar race.
With Jason Reitman at the helm, there is much to hope for. Fingers, toes and everything crossed.
It should be fun. I think we’re mostly glad that Lorne persevered.
I am fully thrilled. There are so many forever memorable sketches.
The Drum-only soundtrack reminded me of Birdman (2014), also about the rigors of live stage production… Lol at the 39 cents sketch☕️😅👌
You’re right about the drums and Birdman.
SNL sure does have some gems. 😁
I’ve been watching SNL most of my life, totally want to see this!
It’s become quite ‘an institution’ as they say. I remain glad that the first episode made it to air.
Yeah, the preview shows that it almost didn’t happen, thank goodness it did, life changing!
🙏😊🍾
