It’s time for Ryan Gosling’s in-space movie.
Directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, Project Hail Mary is a new sci-fi movie about a ‘non-astronaut’ alone in space, trying to save planet Earth.
I believe this to be the first trailer I’ve posted this year for a movie not out until 2026. We really are more than halfway through the year already.
This trailer had me smiling widely. First, as a Gosling fan, second, the humour, and third, because of the healthy escapism that reminds us to try our best to not despair. I, for one, am very ready for this good-looking tale that will have us all feeling good, at least for a while.
How big was your smile?
Liz Kingsman, Lionel Boyce, Milana Vayntrub, Sandra Hüller, Ken Leung, James Ortiz, James Wright, Robert James Smith, Bastian Antonio Fuentes and Isla McRae also star.
Project Hail Mary Release Dates: March 20th, 2026 (US & UK)

Something to look forward to for 2026. Can’t wait!
Exactly. It looks great and feels even better. 😊
I’ll have to see more, but I do like all the people involved. Ryan Gosling was previously in space in First Man.
I forgot about First Man, thank you. It will be interesting to see how this differs from The Martian (2015).
Dang, talk about job pressure! Of course it’s going on my list, it’s Ryan Gosling! 😉
Very true. I look forward to watching him succeed.
Wide and shiny! 😀
Perfect! 😁🥂 🥳
