Director Lars Klevberg’s Child’s Play stars Aubrey Plaza, Brian Tyree Henry and Gabriel Bateman.

A re-imagining of the 1988 horror movie of the same name, Plaza plays a single mother who gives her son a toy doll for his birthday. Only she’s completely unaware of its more sinister nature.

Really? A doll? A horrifying doll? Kidding. I mean, I definitely don’t remember watching previous chucky movies but I do know him to be an an evil often knife yielding ‘toy.’

I’m interested to know whether I’ll actually find this movie scary. I’m thinking maybe not since IT (1990) didn’t scare me. I don’t mind being proven wrong though.

David Lewis, Carlease Burke, Ty Consiglio, Beatrice Kitsos, Hannah Drew, Kristin York and Zahra Anderson also star.
