Written/directed by, and starring Madeleine Sami and Jackie van Beek, The Breaker Upperers is a comedy set in New Zealand about two best friends with an unusual job title.

Cynical in love, the two friends Jen and Mel run an agency that gets hired to break up couples.

The laughs are why I’m in. Also, this is reminding me of how much I really loved Josh Lawson’s The Little Death (2014), not that both films have plots in common.

James Rolleston, Nic Sampson, Kelvin Taylor and Rima Te Wiata also star.
