Directed by Baltasar Kormákur, Charlize Theron, Eric Bana and Taron Egerton’s latest film is Apex, an action/thriller in which Theron is adrenaline Junkie Sasha.

When Sasha sets out to conquer a menacing river, she learns that the only thing out for blood isn’t just nature.

Hello, promising chase sequence, and reliable cast; the reasons my interest is piqued.

A lot of stunt work must have been par for the course with this one. Egerton and Theron seem like actors who’d want to perform as many of their own stunts as possible, which hopefully means they had plenty of fun making this. While all I’m thinking about are my ankles, not that they’re weak, mind you. I just love even terrane. That’s mostly it.

Also, am I the only one who immediately thinks ‘predator’ when hearing ‘Apex?’ No? Maybe I’ve watched too many David Attenborough documentaries. Actually, scratch that, there’s no such thing as watching too many David Attenborough documentaries.

In new Crime/drama/mystery/thriller, Untamed, Eric Bana is a National Parks Service agent tasked with investigating a brutal death.

Rosemarie DeWitt, Sam Neill and Wilson Bethel are among the key cast.

Good to see Bana back. I’ve been a fan ever since Spielberg’s Munich (2005).

For me, the woods are a place that doesn’t necessarily give me peace, because of how empty and eerie they can be. Even more so for someone with an overactive imagination, like me.

Nevertheless, I’m ready to see Bana’s character save the day, but only from the very safe distance, my home, for example. Either that or a special Netflix screening I wouldn’t say no to.

How do you feel about the woods?

King Arthur – Legend Of The Sword (2017), Jude Law

King Arthur – Legend Of The Sword is the title of  Guy Ritchie’s latest present to passionate film lovers like myself.

Starring Charlie Hunnam, an actor better known for hit TV series Sons Of Anarchy, I feel as though this retelling of the King Arthur story has arrived just in time.  For one, Hunnam feels like a brilliant casting choice, and second, I could do with a refresher on the story, since I barely recall the premise.

I LOVE this King Arthur trailer! The music, editing, dialogue, camera work – all the reasons I fell in love with Ritchie’s talents in the first place. I’d stop writing this post and go see it now if could. Patience! – said everyone.

Jude Law, Eric Bana, Djimon Honsou, Annabelle Wallis, Aidan Gillen and Michael McElhatton also star.

Based on a true story, The Finest Hours is about a group of men whose jobs will remind you that what you do for a living probably isn’t that bad. At least, that’s what went through my mind as I watched the below trailer.

A rescue mission at sea is at the centre of The Finest Hours. Starring Chris Pine, Holliday Grainger, Ben Foster, Casey Affleck, Kyle Gallner, and Eric Bana, I’m expecting plenty of drama, action and I’m sure, breaks of several kinds.

Craig Gillespie, director of one of my favourite Ryan Gosling movies, Lars & The Real Girl (2007) is the man in charge.
