Tanna is a story of forbidden love, the chaos it brings and the resultant tussle between the old ways and the new.
Directed by Bentley Dean and Martin Butler, the film is set on a remote Pacific island and it’s a pecial production for reasons including the fact that it’s performed by the people of the Yakel tribe in Yakel, Vanuatu…
I hope this is not too much like Game Of Thrones. You know, another ‘red wedding’, an example of just how badly things can turn out when a promised bride isn’t delivered. It’d likely I won’t mind so much as long as the performances are good and what happens story-wise is rooted in truth. Since the story is based on real events, the chances are better than average, probably.
Happy Film Loving 🙂
