Christopher Nolan’s new sci-fi/action/drama Tenet has a brand new trailer, and of course it’s good!

Starring Robert Pattinson, John David Washington, Himesh Patel and Aaron Taylor-Johnson, the subject is international espionage, time travel/ inversion, and evolution.

As I’ve come to expect with Christopher Nolan trailers, this too is well edited and builds up in a great way.

There’s almost no watching this trailer without 2010’s Inception coming to mind. I just hope that I can keep up with all the ‘time travel science’ because, let’s just say that it took me several listens before I understood what Hulk was saying in Avengers – Endgame (2019) when he explained how time travel actually works:

Changing the past doesn’t change the future. If you travel to the past, that past becomes your future and your former present becomes your past, which can’t now be changed by your new future.

In all honesty, I may have misspoken about actually finally understanding the above explanation. But I do plan to make sense of it soon, with regular attempts.

Kenneth Branagh, Elizabeth Debicki, Michael Caine, Clémence Poésy, Yuri Kolokolnikov, Himesh Patel, Martin Donovan, Carina Velva, Dimple Kapadia and Andrew Howard also star.

Tenet Release Dates: July 17th, 2020 (US &UK)…

Happy Film Loving

  1. Here’s the strange thing about time travel movies, I can’t think of any that didn’t follow the rules of Back to the Future, Hot Tub Time Machine and so on. The question is, which rules will Tenet follow?

  2. This looks so good! Tenet doing time stuff (is it really time travel? doesn’t she say inversion?) is just what I was looking for! At least with Nolan I always know it will be interesting!

    1. You’re right! 😁
Time travel, inversion, inception, interstellar… What I know is this: I’m going to leave the cinema only understanding no more 70% of what I saw. I’m still going to to try to finally understand Hulk’s explanation. It may take a while.

Also, a good thing about Nolan’s movies is that he knows his concepts are complex. As such, he tends to have at least one character who’s as ‘unknowing ‘as the general public to help walk people through what’s going on. Thank goodness! 🤓

  3. I can’t wait to see this. I’m a Christopher Nolan fan so this should be good, even though everyone that has seen the teaser trailer and this new one, isn’t quite sure what’s it’s about exactly. But I think that’s the lure of it. I’m very curious to see more of Robert Pattinson in this. I didn’t recognize him at first. I’m glad to see him past the “Twilight” image. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the Twilight movies…but I just never thought he was….. well… all that. Still very doubtful about him being the next Batman because I so loved Christian Bale, but seeing a glimpse of this version of Pattinson has me intrigued. Getting back TENET…. I too first thought of Inception. But this, is one that I think of you don’t really pay attention to it, you’re so going to be lost. So glad my hubby pays more attention to details than me lol.

    1. That’s the magic of Nolan movie trailers; he knows how to get us interested without showing too much. Also, at this point his reputation is so strong that some people will happily show up to a Nolan movie without having seen the trailer first.

Christian Bale is also my forever Batman. I’d love to see Pattinson do a great job too. I imagine that people’s uncertainty about him being cast in the role will propel him do a great job. At least that’s what we can hope.

I actually ignored the glimpse of Pattinson as Batman that was released several weeks because a glimpse is insufficient. I want a full spoiler free trailer! 😁
