Eight years have passed since Christian Bale finished his stint as Batman, the caped crusader. It’s been decided that the time has come for another reimagining.

Directed by Matt Reeves The Batman stars Robert Pattinson, Zoë Kravitz, Paul Dano, Colin Farrell…

I didn’t feel very much the first time I saw this trailer but it’s grown on me. Now I love the music, appreciate the red title artwork towards the end and I look forward to Pattinson doing a good job.

It definitely should be interesting and not just because Bruce Wayne appears to be into the goth look. I say this while knowing very little about goths by the way. So any actual goths, kindly forgive me.

Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Peter Sarsgaard, John Turturro, Con O’Neill, Max Carver, Charlie Carver, Alex Ferns, Amy Clare Beales, Jimmy Star and Mark Killeen also star.

The Batman Release Dates: March 4th, 2022 (US)…

Happy Film Loving

  1. I saw the trailer yesterday on the DC Fandom. Still not sure about Pattinson as Batman. I need to see more of him to decide, but I love Jeffrey Wright as Gordon. I think he was an excellent choice. The rest of what I saw, I really liked. I think Batman in this version is more of a tortured soul, if you will, then the previous ones. I am looking forward to seeing more for sure.

    1. You’re right. Only seeing Pattinson in the role will inform our final thoughts. Jeffrey Wright is great in every part and certainly as Commissioner Gordon. It will be interesting to see the different way Pattinson’s Batman is tortured compared to Bale’s. Fingers crossed we’ll find much to love about it.

  2. I’ve been thinking more about his Bruce Wayne look and since Pattinson’s currently seemingly pulling off the look in Tenet I kind of see what Matt Reeves thinking may be here with the current issues in the world we could be getting a Bruce Wayne whose not so willing to embrace the usual iconic look and attitude or at least not at this point in his career. So much to talk about in one trailer for a movie that’s only 30% done! I can’t wait for the full thing 🙂

    1. It’s a good plan that this trailer shows a somewhat different kind of Batman. Times have indeed changed and it’s always good to see that incorporated and captured well in retellings. Only 13 months to go before knowing how it all turns out. 🤓

Looking forward to Tenet this Wednesday. Fingers crossed for a great result. 🤞
