Directed by Peyton Reed; Ant-Man and The Wasp – Quantumania has its key characters, including Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) exploring the Quantum Realm. A place where they encounter strange creatures, Kang The Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) and an adventure that goes beyond what they thought possible.
Here’s the thing; it’s doubtful that I’ll actually watch this movie. Especially since I’ve not been moved to watch a single Ant-Man film yet.
So, considering the above, why have I featured the film at all? I love the music and the ways it’s used in this trailer. Additionally, I’ve always enjoyed a deep-voiced villain – and third, the trailer gets more interesting and fun for me from 1:34 minutes onwards. Well, except for that part where Ant-Man’s daughter screams ‘Dad!‘ It just feels as though a more emotional version of that was needed for the moment. Luckily though, we end on a high with Kang The Conqueror’s magnificent scream.
Have you seen any Ant-Man movies? How much does this one appeal to you?

I haven’t seen an Ant-Man movie either. I get the feeling that if and when I finally do, I’ll feel silly for having waited so long, because I’ll like it! A lot!
Interesting. You may be right. I did feel similarly about the first Avengers movie. However, since so many superhero movies have been released since then, who knows.
I’ll likely write about it if I watch any Ant-Man films. Because, you know, never say never.
I used to read a lot of the Marvel comics when I was a kid. Ant Man has a way of growing on you. 🤣I’ll definitely see this movie.
In that case, I hope that this new one turns out great. If my situation and attitude changes, I’ll be sure to post about. 🤓
I’ve seen all of them 🙂 They are so far mid-tier Marvel but fun. However I have a feeling Jonathon Majors is going to knock this into top tier for me. I’m rooting for Kang 🙂 Although I do feel like this trailer gave away a bit too much possibly.
Also I’m hoping for a Ms. Minutes cameo she did say she was working for someone else after all.
Thank you for breaking it down for me. 🤓
I think I could sort of smell the ‘mid-tier’ status of the films, and that’s partly why I’ve been hesitant.
You’re right about the potential powers of the J. Majors effect. Fingers crossed that yourself and all the Ant-Man fans are very pleasantly surprised. 🤞🤞
Enjoyed both of the Ant-Man films a lot, and am looking forward to this next chapter. If nothing else, it should start pointing us in the general direction of our next “Thanos-level” situation…and that has me eagerly awaiting this film’s opening.
I see, I see. I’m glad you’ve enjoyed them. I sometimes forget that Marvel always seems to have an over-aching idea with all the separate films. I do find myself a little curious about what the next Thanos-level event will look like. Who knows, maybe I’ll end up going back to watch the Ant-Man films if the trailer for the Thanos-level event is compelling enough.
I have yet to see this one, but love the first two for their energy, humor and imagination, plus hearing The Cure’s “Disintegration” play out of the Walkman in slo-mo in the first film.
I hope it’s as good as you expect. I’m often pleasantly surprised by the way movies and trailers use new and old music in unexpected ways.
