ANT-MAN AND THE WASP – QUANTUMANIA (2023): New Trailer Starring Paul Rudd, Jonathan Majors, Evangeline Lily…

Directed by Peyton Reed; Ant-Man and The Wasp – Quantumania has its key characters, including Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope Van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) exploring the Quantum Realm. A place where they encounter strange creatures, Kang The Conqueror (Jonathan Majors) and an adventure that goes beyond what they thought possible.

Here’s the thing; it’s doubtful that I’ll actually watch this movie. Especially since I’ve not been moved to watch a single Ant-Man film yet.

So, considering the above, why have I featured the film at all? I love the music and the ways it’s used in this trailer. Additionally, I’ve always enjoyed a deep-voiced villain – and third, the trailer gets more interesting and fun for me from 1:34 minutes onwards. Well, except for that part where Ant-Man’s daughter screams ‘Dad!‘ It just feels as though a more emotional version of that was needed for the moment. Luckily though, we end on a high with Kang The Conqueror’s magnificent scream.

Have you seen any Ant-Man movies? How much does this one appeal to you?

Randall Park, Michael Douglas, Kathryn Newton, Katy M. O’Brian, William Jackson Harper, Michelle Pfeiffer, Bill Murray, Corey Stoll and Leonardo Taiwo also star

CREED III (2023): New Trailer From Michael B. Jordan, Jonathan Majors, Tessa Thompson, Florian Munteanu…

A new instalment of the Adonis Creed story is coming in 2023, and this time it’s a face-off between childhood friends.

Starring Michael B. Jordan (also the director), Tessa Thompson, Florian Munteanu and Jonathan Majors; Majors plays Creed’s childhood friend/former boxing prodigy with a point to make.

I don’t recall much about what happened in the last Creed movie, Well, except that a fight was very likely won by Jordan’s character. Still, I somehow wasn’t expecting a new instalment. How silly of me!

Since boxing doesn’t generally call to me, I’m drawn to watch this to experience what I believe to be Jordan’s directorial debut. I’m a fan of Thompson and Majors as well, so there’s also that.

Do you find yourself drawn to Creed III at all? If so, what are you most curious and or excited about?

Selenis Leyva, Thaddeus J. Mixson, Phylicia Rashad, Spence Moore II, Tony Bellew, Michelle Davidson, Jude Wells, Jessica McCaskill, Leah Haile and Candice Tracy Ross also star.

Creed III Release Dates: March 3rd, 2023 (US)…

JUNGLELAND (2019): New Trailer From Charlie Hunnam, Jonathan Majors, Jack O’Connell…

Read my spoiler-free movie review of  Jungleland (2019).

New drama Jungleland has Charlie Hunnam and Jack O’Connell  as brothers trying to escape their circumstances. They travel across the country for a no holds barred boxing match that turns into a fight for their lives.

Directed by  Max Winkler; additional key cast includes Jonathan Majors, Jessica Barden, Fran Kranz and John Cullum.

Firstly, I like the music in this trailer and second, I’m in for a great O’Connell performance, an actor I’ve been excited about after seeing him in what is probably my favourite prison-based movie of all time, Starred Up (2013).

Nick Mullen, Meredith Holzman, Owen Burke, Johnno Wilson, Ken Cheeseman, Michael Tow, Jere Shea, Patrick M. Walsh and Frank Ridley also star.

Jungleland Release Dates: November 6th, 2020 (US)…

Jimmie Fails, Jonathan Majors, Danny Glover and Tichina Arnold are the stars of new drama The Last Black Man In San Francisco.

From writer / director Joe Talbot , this is the story of a young man searching for home in the changing city of San Francisco. A city that seems to have left him behind…

I like the content of this trailer, in part because it reminds me of much of what I liked about If Beale Street Could Talk (2018). Particularly in regards to the depiction of family / friendship, the cinematography, music and the seemingly dream-like sequences.

There’s also all the visuals of beautiful San Francisco on which to feast my eyes.

Mike Epps, Rob Morgan, Finn Wittrock, Jello Biafra, Jamal Trulove, Willie Hen and Thora Birch also star.

The Last Black Man In San Francisco Release Dates: June 14th, 2019 (US)…
