New action/crime/fantasy, The Crow stars Bill Skarsgård, Danny Huston and FKA twigs.
Directed by Rupert Sanders; The Crow is the story of brutally murdered soulmates Eric and Shelley. Specifically Eric’s unexpected opportunity for absolute vengeance.
I’m quite partial to a good vengeance story. Still, I don’t know that I’m expecting a lot from this movie. Nevertheless, I want to watch and compare it to the original 1994 version of The Crow starring Brandon Lee, which I’m yet to see.
It looks pretty gory based on this trailer, but, I’m curious, are you also intrigued and have you seen the original?
Laura Birn, Jordan Bolger, Sami Bouajila, Karel Dobrý, Isabella Wei, David Bowles, Jim High, Paul A Maynard and Dukagjin Podrimaj also star.
The Crow Release Dates: Aug 23rd 2024 (US & UK)…
Happy Film Loving,

I’ve seen the original and I don’t remember much except the tragic Brandon Lee accident.
A tragic turn of events indeed. it was released a long time ago. Thirty years, actually.
This is what I call a true reimagining of the original, which I should rewatch soon. I loved it, but I have not seen it in decades!
It’s going to fun to compare. Also, decades is a good amount of time before a remake. 😁 Most other lengths of time usually feel too soon.
Yes I’d say 10 years should be the minimum time (by movie law) before attempting to remake the original or the last remake/reboot. 😀
I wish a campaign could actually bring that rule to pass. However, money tends to speak much more loudly than audience preference. 🤓
I saw the original way back when it came out and would like to watch it again before seeing this one. I like Danny Huston in anything he does. That’s a big draw for me to it.
I’ll be watching the original soon too but for the first time. I agree Huston is always a good addition to a cast list.
