Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett are the stars of new crime/drama/thriller Verity.
Directed by Michael Showalter, Johnson is Lowen Ashleigh, a ghostwriter hired to write novels for a husband’s incapacitated wife. While on the job, Lowen discovers disturbing truths.
Hello, pleasant surprise!
Firstly, I’m relieved this isn’t a horror film. Second, Hathaway has been a busy lady. So far, this is the fourth film she’s in this year, after Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, and The Odyssey. And third, doesn’t this look like promising fun?
Daniel Echevarria, Brady Wagner, Asel Swango, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Michael Abbott Jr, Emily McEnroe, Tom Galantich, Thursday Farrar, K.K. Moggie and Stephen Elrod also star.
Verity Release Dates: October 2nd, 2026 (US & UK)…
Happy Film Loving,

I want this to be as fun as it looks right now.
I’m fully with you there. 🤓🥂
Hmm, psychological drama I guess? I’m surprised how this isn’t horror, so what we’ve seen is all in person’s head. Anne is at the top of her game for sure.
It’s certainly very interesting. And you’re absolutely right about the lovely Anne! 🙌✨
i love a good psychological drama, hope this is a good one
Me too, Beth. The cast is certainly mostly reliable. 🙏🤓🤞🤞
Definitely disturbing, yet, I’m curious!
Sometimes we just have to try and see. No shame in bailing if it’s not for us. 🤓🥂
I read the book and couldn’t put it down. So I’m really looking forward to Verity.
P.S. You forgot The End of Oak Street for the fifth Anne Hathaway movie.
I love a ‘non-putdownable’ book. I don’t encounter those often enough, honestly.
My goodness, yes! The End of Oak Street! It wouldn’t surprise me if she had another couple of trailers on the way for the next half of the year, if not sooner. 🙌✨
