Director Barry Jenkins’s latest movie, Mufasa – The Lion King has a new more intriguing trailer. that stars Seth Rogen, Mads Mikkelsen, Aaron Pierre and Kelvin Harrison Jr.
I’ve decided I’ll try to watch Mufasa – The Lion King. Hopefully, unlike the first CGI The Lion KIng Movie (2019), I won’t be compelled to stop because my brain tells me something is off visually. And that I should watch an actual nature documentary instead.
I also don’t want to miss the Mufasa/Scar origin story. My fingers are crossed that I make it to the movie’s end this time.

Not a fan of the more stylized CGI in Mufasa, but the trailer did make me emotional. Granted, the familiar musical cues usually do that to me.
It’s the magic of the audio-visual arts – bringing our emotions to the surface. It happened to me as I re-watched Kingsman – The Secret Service (2014) at the weekend. 🥲😊
Maybe we’ll be so moved by the story that we forget about the less than ideal CGI. 🙏🤞🤞
