New sport/comedy film The Hawk stars Will Ferrell as Lonnie Hawkins, 2004’s top golfer, as he struggles to recapture his magic late in his career.
Refusing to accept that his time has come and gone, Hawkins believes he’s only one stroke away from the greatest comeback.
I can’t say I liked the teaser trailers that were released for this movie a few weeks ago, and yes, this looks very silly, but it’s the kind of silly I can make time for.
Or, maybe I’m now looking forward to this after noticing that Ferrell is looking a lot like one of my favourites of his characters, Jacobim Mugatu of Zoolander (2001), especially in the above image.
Chelsea Gilligan, Toby Huss, Evan Shafran, Mike Ferguson, Candace Kita, Amari Deity, Jimmy Walker Jr, Jeremiah Latrell Caldwell and Aida Osman also star.

Looks like a typical Farrel silly comedy. Which works for me most of the time. He’s such a lovable comedian. And the supporting cast looks on point as well. Bring the clubs! 😁
