Based on a true story, the two men team up to investigate the murders of civil rights leaders in 1966 in Mississippi.
This one’s a must-watch for me. Especially because it has a bit of that Blackkklansman (2018) energy, which was great. Plus, Beharie is always impressive, and I give almost every Wahlberg movie a chance.

First things first. When I see ‘based on a true story’ I wonder which parts were embellished and dramatized and which not. Because this one seems wild. And because of the topic, also wildly satisfying. 😅
Wahlberg looks like he’s having fun for real and not sleeping through the role like in some of his movies lately. It really depends on how meaty the role is and quality of the source material. This one will be a keeper.
Once the movie is released there’s always a few articles that like to pick out precisely that parts that may have bee fabricated. I remember that happening once Monster – The Ed Gein Story was released.
I meant add that I agree, Wahlberg must be having a good with the role. His dialogue appears fun and his character is certainly interesting.
