New Rob Savage-directed horror film Other Mommy stars Jessica Chastain, Jay Duplass and Arabella Olivia Clark.
Clark plays Bela, an eight-year-old who confronts the sinister entity, a.k.a. ‘Other Mommy,’ that comes out of her closet.
Could we possibly have an AI shenanigans movie to really get excited about here?
Chastain’s involvement certainly has me hopeful. And for some strange reason, my usual ‘horror, too scary’ alarm bells aren’t ringing for this one. Could it be that I misguidedly don’t find AI scary movies terrifying?
I wonder how AI mommy ended up in Bela’s home in the first place. That, I’m really curious about.

It seems the really scary part is that neither parent approved that Bela can have an “Other Mommy.”

Somehow I knew this would be a horror movie when I saw the trailer before The Odyssey. My immediate thought was Coraline.
It must be the magic that is lady Chastain. 😊🙌

The trailer certainly has been getting a lot of attention, and with Chastain at the forefront I think this film might do well. (I love how you addressed her as AI mommy!)
Chastain is known for making many a great choice when it comes to films she’s in. It looks like this is another good one. Strangely, I just started feeling bad for A.I. Mommy and how she’s relegated to Bela’s room. Something tells me I won’t feel that way by the end.
