Fall (2022) has a sequel where a grieving sister, Jax Hunter, along with her late sisters bold friend decide to survive a super dangerous plank walk in Thailand that’s 3000 feet above ground. And of course, ‘well’ is not the word for how it goes.
Directed by Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig, Harriet Slater, Arsema Thomas and Tom Brittney are among the key cast.
My first thought after reading the synopsis was ‘SURVIVE?!??’
And that’s why I must watch this. How exactly will survival be possible in such a predicament?
Yes, Jax’s decision to climb seems super wreckless. However, I’m going to put my judgement to one side because the first Fall film was a pleasant surprise. I hope this sequel will be as engaging, well-paced/edited, as it’s predecessor.
Like most people, I’m afraid of falling from a great height, but I’m actually happy to be very high up as long as there are sufficient considerations for my safety. I.e. the barriers at the top of the Eiffel Tower.

They say ‘thriller’; I say ‘horror movie.’ Either way, I’m interested.
Like the first movie, I can’t wait to see this on the biggest screen possible.

I am not a big “heights” guy at all, so I waited for Fall to hit streaming…so if I vomited it would be a controlled event. I had very mixed feelings about Fall as a movie, but pretty much considered it a one-off. Which I guess it is, since Fall 2 is clearly in a more exotic locale. I think I might go back and watch the original now, but this one probably will be a pass for me.
I’d like to think I’m ok with heights, but truth be told, I was on top of some high locations, and my knees buckled every time. 😀 Eiffel Tower, for example, I slowly inch toward the edge. I can look down without a problem as long as I’m holding on to something. Watching the movie is fine, although it does bring the sense of dread for sure.
I vaguely remember the trailer of the first one, so perhaps I’ll watch this one, and if I like it, I’ll go back to see the first one. They don’t seem related.
