One of the biggest irritants for film fans these days is the increase in the number of movie trailers that give away more of a story than is absolutely necessary. As a result, I know a handful of people who have opted out of watching trailers all together.
I myself can’t even, not for a second entertain quitting trailers. And so adapt, I have. Not by embracing terrible trailers that ruin what could have been great movies. But by choosing how many of the – I don’t know, 3 to 20 variations of a trailer that movie studios are committed to pushing these days…
Can you even imagine not watching trailers anymore? Such a dark thought.
My latest YouTube video, Embarrassing Things That Happen To Me At The Moviesis all about the handful of reasons why staying at home to watch a movie can sometimes be the wisest choice. Especially considering the predicaments I tend to find myself in from time to time…
Just to confirm though, nothing is ever getting in between me and future movie theatre experiences. I’m committed even if I have to spend two hours on a seat drenched with cola!
I blame the often underestimated amount of hard work that’s required to edit a video and at the very least ‘adequately’ for the reason why today’s blog post didn’t happen at the usual time. Bad planning on my part had nothing to do with it, I assure you. Really. Yes.
After finally hitting the ‘publish’ button and thinking, ‘I’m happy with that.’ I realised my error. In addition to my late post, I’d failed to include my ‘end card’. At this point in the day, ‘you live and you learn’ are all the words I have to comfort myself with. That and ‘what a beautiful red balloon. I want it…’
The above video covers how I feel about horror movies, clowns and the recently released trailer for Stephen King’s classic horror film, IT.
The50 Facts About Me videos are one of my favourites on YouTube. So, naturally it was only a matter of time before I was brave enough to unleash my particular brand of peculiar to share with you, my lovely readers! I hope you enjoy my fourth ever YouTube video (The first one is crazy awkward!).
