Jacob Tremblay is such a great young talent. He along with Julia Roberts and Owen Wilson are great reasons to watch this movie. It also helps that the film is based on R.J. Palacio’s bestselling book of the same name. I don’t recall the last time I watched Wilson in a non-comedy role so this should be interesting.

Asif Kapadia, director of the Amy Winehouse documentary Amy (2015) has a new feature length movie. Starring Adam Bakri, María Valverde, Connie Nielsen and Mandy Patinkin, Ali and Nino is set in Baku, Azerbaijan between 1918 and 1920. The story is based on the book by Kurban Said and it’s one of ‘forbidden love’ between a Christian girl and a Muslim boy…

My favourite of Kapadia’s work is definitely Amy (2015). I hope Ali & Nino is also great, especially since I find this trailer simultaneously sleep inducing and  promising.
