This looks a little like The Wolf Of Wall Street (2013) but minus the drugs and with a little less masculinity. I find myself curious about the amount of energy Deutch had to bring each day to deliver this character.

In The Exception which takes place during the onset of World War II, Jai Courtney is a German Soldier who falls in love with a young Jewish Dutch woman (Lily James). What he really ought to be focusing on instead is his job of investigating whether the Dutch resistance has planted a spy to infiltrate the home of Kaiser Wilhelm in Holland…

Directed by David Leveaux, the biggest pull to watch this movie, for me is that I want love to win. I’m also a Lily James fan since I think she made for a great Cinderella – even though someone refereed to her performance as ‘bored and lifeless.’ There’s also Christopher Plummer, an actor who’s good in everything he appears in.
