From first-time director Pieter-Jan De Pue, The Land Of The Enlightened follows a group of children from the Kuchi Tribe who live in a minefield around Bagram airfield, Afghanistan.

The Land Of The Enlightened captures the children’s  daily lives, a life that involves digging up personal mines to sell to other children whose job it is to mine precious blue stones (Lappis Lazulli)…

I’ll be tuning in thanks to the haunting atmosphere of this trailer. I also want to see a side of Afghanistan that before, I’d only ever have imagined.
