Westwood – Punk. Icon. Activist. is a new Lorna Tucker-directed documentary about the remarkable story of fashion designer Vivienne Westwood – as she fights to maintain her brand’s integrity, her principles – and her legacy.
Christina Hendricks and Kate Moss are among her famous fans/friends who make an appearance…
I’m interested in the story of a successful woman who knows who she is; what she stands for, and doesn’t stop there. I of course also want to see the oh, so beautiful clothing. The dresses in particular.
Bomb City is a crime-drama about the cultural aversion of a group of punk rockers in a conservative Texas town. Their ongoing battle with a rival, more-affluent clique leads to a controversial hate crime that questions the morality of American justice.
Directed by Jameson Brooks; Dave Davis, Glenn Morshower and Logan Huffman star.
I’m intrigued because it’s based on a true story and this trailer is well made. If I’m honest though, a part of me doesn’t want to see Bomb City because it’s so dark it will likley change my mood for at least a few hours on day of viewing. Additionally, a scene in this trailer reminds me of one of the most terrifying things about Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals (2016).
Maybe the right mood will hit and watch this anyway, especially if it’s a sunny day and because I want to see some good courtroom action.
Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Ruth Wilson and Alex Sharp are the stars of How to Talk to Girls at Parties, a John Cameron Mitchell directed comedy / romance about an alien. An alien that’s touring the galaxy but breaks away from her group and meets two young inhabitants of the most dangerous place in the universe – the London suburb of Croydon…
I’m in for the alien activity and the costumes. I also can’t say that I didn’t find the line in the official synopsis about Croydon amusing.
