It would appear that now is the season for trees to be the stars of movies. There’s a chance my observation is premature, especially since the only other ‘tree movie’ that came immediately to mind is ‘A Monster Calls (2016).

I’m drawn to this movie because it’s not quite that clear to me just how one can become so attached to a tree.
