In new horror/thriller His House, an English town that has an evil lurking beneath the surface is the unexpected destination of a refugee couple who made a harrowing escape from war-torn South Sudan.
Directed by Remi Weekes; starring Sope Dirisu, Matt Smith, Mevis Birungi and Javier Botet, the couple struggle to adjust to their new life.
The Get Out (2017) vibes are strong with this one. Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place. This looks pretty dark. I find myself wondering about the motivations of the people that placed the couple in ‘his house’
Hopefully I won’t be too scared to watch this because I do want to find out how much everyone around the couple knows about what goes on in that house.
Bradley Banton, Vivien Bridson, Yvonne Campbell, Gamba Cole, Rene Costa, Andy Gathergood, Mark Gooden, Marie Hamm, Ty Hurley, Cornell John, John Kamau and John Samuel Kande also star.
His House Release Dates: October 30th, 2020 (US)…

I love watching scary movies, especially around Halloween . I will definitely have to watch this one.
You must not get scary movie induced nightmares, you lucky lady! 😁
No not really… sorry lol. But what is funny is that when I was a kid, I was scared of everything…. scary movies, weird noises… you name it I was scared of it. 😂 My mom said she used to think that she was getting paid back for anything bad she did as a kid because she loved scary movies and yet she had a kid that was scared of everything. But then when when I was in my teens, something changed and I could not get enough of watching scary movies. Go figure. ☺️
That is so interesting! 🤓 Maybe one day the shift will happen with me. I may have been scared of everything too but it wasn’t until I watched The Omen (1976) when I was twelve and had nightmares for a week. From that point I decided that restful sleep was simply too precious. 😁
Here’s wishing you a nightmare sleep when you do get to watch this.
No nightmare I meant lol. Sorry. Left out one important word there. 😂
😂😂 Great typo! 😁 I think watching it in broad daylight is going to be the way to go for me. So that by night time, I’ve forgotten about most of it. Here’s to hoping that’s the way the subconscious really works. 🤞🤞
I got goosebumps and definitely see the Get Out vibes here. It’s so layered and so poignant. Definitely adding to my watchlist. I love this genre and can’t believe I missed this trailer so thank you for sharing. You’ve become one of my favorite bloggers ❤️
You’re very welcome and thank you for the compliment! 😊🙏
There are many layers indeed. Fingers crossed it’ll be great. I can’t wait to see how they wrap this story up.
