Read my spoiler-free movie review of The Witches (2020).
Forrest Gump (1994) director Robert Zemeckis has a new film starring Anne Hathaway, Chris Rock, Octavia Spencer and Stanley Tucci.
Based on Roald Dahl’s 1983 classic book of the same name, The Witches, this one promises to be a scary, funny and imaginative tale of a seven year old boy who has a run in with some real life witches.
‘Festive fun’ is the vibe I get from this one. I love the cast and I’m excited about the special effects. Naturally, I’m not a fan of mice in real life, but when they’re not real, even I can find a way to appreciate them.
Codie-Lei Eastick, Charles Edwards, Morgana Robinson, Jahzir Bruno, Eugenia Caruso, Simon Manyonda, Jonathan Livingstone, Philippe Spall, Zeke Taylor, Eurydice El-Etr and Anna Devlin also star.
The Witches Release Dates: October 22nd, 2020 (US)…
Happy Film Loving

Ha! I just showed the old one to a bunch of kids in March (before covid) It was a bit too much for some 9 year olds! Others loved it!
I was surprised by the arival of this trailer today too. 🥳 It looks really fun, colourful and oddly festive. Now I don’t know which to watch first, this version or the version that was a tad too much for some of your nine year-olds. 😁
The 90’s version I liked also. This looks like it will be good to and a little different. It’s got a great cast.
I don’t think I’ve seen the 90s version, but I agree with you fully about this. It’s put me in the mood for Christmas even though it fits much better with Halloween. 🤷♀️🤓
Maybe I was too young to really enjoy it than but the first movie scared the heck out of me! I look forward to watching this!
I can definitely see this being scary for little kids. It scared you then , and now it’s time to enjoy it for all the reasons you couldn’t back then. 🤓
