In new comedy Here Today, Billy Crystal is Charlie, a veteran comedy writer who meets New York street singer Emma Payge (Tiffany Haddish) and they begin an unlikely friendship.

Written/directed by Crystal, Penn Badgley, Sharon Stone, Kevin Kline, Laura Benanti and Barry Levinson are among the key cast.

The week I become crazy busy and too exhausted to publish a post for nearly three days is the week that this little gem of a trailer is released.

I’m excited because Haddish and Crystal together is a partnership I didn’t know I needed to see until this trailer happened. And as a big fan of stories about beautiful/unexpected friendships, I hope this turns out great.

Anyone else get reminded of Haddish’s brilliant story about her dancing skills? Seeing her relationship with Crystal’s character here took me right back to that great story. If you haven’t heard it already. Treat yourself, at once!

Shiloh Verrico, Joanna Adler, Louisa Krause, Anna Deavere Smith, Susan Pourfar, Nyambi Nyambi, Lisann Valentin and Alex Brightman also star.

Here Today Release Dates: May 7th, 2021 (US)…

Happy Film loving

      1. Maybe that’s because she’s created great stories in her living! I think that’s key to being a good comedian. Neat connection between her dancing days and now in a movie with Billy Crystal.

      2. She has lived brilliant stories, indeed. I revere superb storytelling. It’s part of the reason that Salma Hayek is one of the best talk show guests ever. All skilled storytellers have a grasp of the importance of timing and an economy of words. I will continue to hopefully learn from them. And maybe one day my brother won’t pretend to be dozing off when I try to tell a funny story! πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

    1. I don’t like to speak to sson but I get the feeling that I’m really going to love this one, too. πŸ€“ Rest is definitely my priority this weekend. Even if it means taking a nap that turns into a 3 hour sleep in the middle of a sunny afternoon. 😁
