Read my spoiler-free movie review of Frankenstein (2025).
Guillermo del Toro is the director behind a new retelling of Mary Shelley’s horror classic, Frankenstein.
Starring Oscar Isaac, Christoph Waltz, Jacob Elordi, and Mia Goth, Dr. Victor Frankenstein (Isaac) creates a monster (Elordi) that leads to disaster for the scientist and his creation.
I wonder if we’ll see Elordi’s face as the monster; perhaps we shall, in the next trailer.
I’ve already started making peace with missing out on all the lovely cinematography when I fail to watch this because it’s a horror film. At least I’ll always have the trailers, thankfully.
Are you into this good-looking new Frankenstein story?
Ralph Ineson, David Bradley, Charles Dance, Burn Gorman, Nikolaj Lie Kaas, Lars Mikkelsen, Christian Convery and Lauren Collins also star.
Frankenstein Release Dates: November 2025 (US)…
Happy Film Loving,
G
I want to see it so much. I love Del Toro, he is one of the best director of the last years and he always loved Frankenstein and in general monsters. I’m sure he will make an amazing work.
I agree, he is great! As far as November feels, at least it’s released this year. 🤓🥂
Del Toro should be perfect for this. The trailer looks interesting, dare I say promising, but we’ll see if it works out.
He’s usually good, so fingers crossed for a great result.
Guillermo del Toro has gone on record saying his version of Frankenstein is not a horror film. So I think you’re good.
That’s very exciting. Perhaps I’ll consider taking a chance. Thanks for the info, as always.
🤓🥂
I’m thinking more The Shape of Water vibe than horror because it’s such a tragically sad story so I’m looking forward to it.
I like the sound of that. Thank you. Very promising.
Wow. Want to see it.
Based on everyone’s comments, I may also have to see it. I hope we all enjoy it, following everyone’s comments. 🤓🥂
