New comedy/horror/thriller Victorian Psycho has Maika Monroe as an eccentric young governess named Winifred Notty.
Directed by Zachary Wigon and set in 1858, Winifred arrives at the remote gothic manor, Ensor House. Only, as she assimilates, staff begin to inexplicably disappear.
Jason Isaacs, Thomasin McKenzie and Ruth Wilson make up the additional key cast.
To reference Tropic Thunder (2008) I’m curious to find out if Monroe went ‘full psycho’ or just enough to make this good/watchable.
Also, if I didn’t know better, I’d have guessed that the mouth in the image above belonged to Keira Knightley and the filmmakers had somehow superimposed it onto Monroe’s face.
Evie Templeton, Jacobi Jupe, Amy De Bhrún, Paul Reid, Katherine Moran, David Brady, Alan Devally, Kate Brady, Dagmar Döring and Katherine Moran also star.
