The official trailer for Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s latest drama/comedy, Digger, is here.

Starring Tom Cruise, John Goodman, Aetheria Angel and Riz Ahmed, we can expect a story about the most powerful man in the world and his goal to prove he’s the saviour of humanity.

The instinct that told us this was weird was exactly right. That cat is quite a sight, isn’t it? And yes, a certain ‘orange being’ did come to mind as I kept watching Cruise as Digger.

Anyone else hear how much Ahmed’s dialogue at 1:36 sounds a lot like Tom Cruise, especially in Jerry Maguire (1996)?

I say bring on the comedy and peculiar shenanigans. I’m ready for truly committed, passionate performances and more.

Another thing I remembered as this trailer played is Adam McKay’s Don’t Look Up (2021). Lastly, here’s a look back at the excellence that was Iñárritu’s trailers for The Revenant (2015).
