Greta Gerwig , Zosia Mamet and Danny DeVito are he stars of Wiener Dog, a new comedy about a dog’s journey as it travels around the country spreading joy.

Looking at the photo above,  it’s clear that the joy on offer is needed quite urgently.

The last movie I saw starring Gerwig was Mistress America (2015), and unfortunately, it turned out to be more fun in trailer form. Still, I’m going to remain very hopeful about this one.

Julie Delpy and Ellen Burstyn also star.

Wiener-Dog Release Dates: June 24th, 2016 (US); July 28th, 2016 (GER)…

MAGGIE’S PLAN (2015): New Trailer From Ethan Hawke, Julian Moore, Greta Gerwig…

Directed by Rebecca Miller, Maggie’s Plan stars Julianne Moore, Ethan Hawke and Greta Gerwig in story that centres around a young woman who is eager to start a family on her own. The only thing is, she ends up becoming a mistress and breaking up the marriage of her professor lover and his wife (Moore).

As you can tell from the trailer, there’s quite a lot going on. I like that Maggie’s Plan has been categorised as a comedy. Although, I don’t recall laughing, let alone smiling more than once during the trailer. The most exciting thing about this movie, for me, is brilliant actress Julianne Moore. Even more so because she’s sporting what sounds like a convincing European accent.

Travis Fimmel, Bill Hader and Maya Rudolph also star.

Maggie’s Plan Release Dates: May 20th, 2016 (US); July 8th, 2016 (UK)…

I haven’t watched Greta Gerwig in a movie since 2010’s Greenberg with Ben Stiller. That clearly has to change now that I’ve seen the below trailer for her new Noah Baumbach-directed comedy, Mistress America.

I’m already sold on her character’s refreshingly interesting and adventurous persona.

Bring on all the kooky. I’m ready
