Imagine being a teenager and learning that you have magical powers. That’s the predicament of Billie (Hailee Steinfeld), an awkward teen and her Type-A mother, whose lives change thanks to said powers and the discovery of a hidden magical realm.

From co-directors Jason Hand, Josie Trinidad and Fawn Veerasunthorn, additional key cast includes Stephen Fry, Tracey Ullman and Rashida Jones.

I probably dreamed about such abilities in my adolescent days, and that’s the reason for my interest.

In fact, the power of telekinesis and or teleportation would be fantastic right about now. Though, probably minus all the super witchy stuff, whatever that means. I’ll have to watch to find out.
