Luke Wilson and Olivia Wilde are the stars of the new movie from Kill Your Darlings (2013) director, Reed Morano…
Meadowland follows the struggle of two individuals and how they’re affected by an unimaginable loss.
I’ll be watching for the interesting subject matter and also because of Giovanni Ribisi, Elizabeth Moss, John Leguizamo and Olivia Wilde. Great trailer music and editing. Just not a fan of the textual interruptions.
Guy Pearce, Cobie Smulders, Giovanni Ribisi and Kevin Corrigan are the stars of Results, a rather weird comedy written/ directed by Andrew Bujalski.
When I say weird, I’m referring to the characters and the unconventional way the story is told. In which case, weird isn’t necessarily a bad thing.
One of the most interesting things about Results, besides what’s going on with Giovanni Ribisi’s hair would have to be what each of the actors brings to their roles. Specifically their portrayals of individuals who seem rather lost.
Bujalski’s film definitely had me somewhat lost and wondering what is this film really about, what on earth was going on with this story? With that said, if you’re after consistency in tone, a more traditional tale of romance and a laugh out loud comedy, you’re not really going to find that in Results.
I saw the movie because I like all the actors involved. So watch it for a different type of movie-making style that’s unconventional and peculiar and/ or if you too, love the cast
This is absolutely not a horror film, but who knew that Seth Rogen playing scared out of his mind could be so entertaining?
Coming from the same team that delivered comedy hits Superbad (2007), Knocked Up (2007) and most recently, This Is The End (2013); Pineapple Express is an action packed comedy bromance between two mid twenties, weed smoking males who are played rather well indeed by Seth Rogen and James Franco.
There’s plenty to enjoy in this movie, including the dialogue, well choreographed action sequences, a series of oddball characters; not to forget the undeniable beauty of James Franco’s Smile… 🙂 …something I hadn’t been aware of until this movie. Oh yes.
Last but absolutely not least, should you find yourself to be a fan of writer/ director, Judd Apatow before watching this movie, then you know you’re in good hands.
