Leah Lewis | The Movie My Life

The latest animation/adventure/comedy from Pixar stars Mamoudou Athie and Leah Lewis as Ember and Wade.

Directed by PeterSohn of The Good Dinosaur (2015); Ember and Wade are two elements in a city where fire-, water, land and air live together.

Looking like a love story between fire and water, I’m hoping there’ll be a lot more to it to keep us all engaged. I mean, I already love the name Ember, so that’s certainly a good place to start.

What are your thoughts at this point? How intriguing do you find this story compared to some of your favourite Pixar films?

Additional key cast includes Enrique Murciano, Becky Ann Baker and Alexxis Lemire.

I’ll see this one because it’s a teen movie that seems to be more mature than most. The first evidence being the absence of the usual ‘over reaction’ when Ellie’s new friend Paul finds out that she didn’t say she too has feelings for the girl he loves.

I have an idea or two about how this story will play out, but how nice it would be to be surprised.

Catherine Curtin, Collin Chou, Wolfgang Novogratz, Haley Murphy, Alex D. Jennings, Joe Lanza, Billy Thomas Myott, Alexandre Bagot and Veronica Wood also star.
