From writer/director Brandon Cronenberg; Possessor is a new sci-fi/thriller about a secret organisation that uses brain implant technology. The technology is ultimately used to drive its agents to inhabit other people’s bodies, in order to commit assassinations for high-paying clients.

Jennifer Jason Leigh, Andrea Riseborough, Tuppence Middleton and Christopher Abbott are among the key cast.

The teaser for this trailer was released weeks ago but I wasn’t sure about it then. However, this version of the trailer combined with the synopsis definitely has me interested.

I’m extra intrigued since Possessor is directed by the son of David Cronenberg, director of A History of Violence (2005) and Eastern Promises (2007).

Rossif Sutherland, Christopher Jacot, Deragh Campbell, Hanneke Talbot, Gabrielle Graham, Rachael Crawford, Hrant Alianak, Raoul Bhaneja and Gage Graham-Arbuthnot also star.
