Johnny Depp, Bill Nighy and Hiroyuki Sanada are the stars of new drama Minamata. The story of war photographer W. Eugene Smith (Depp) and his journey back to Japan to document the devastating effect of mercury poisoning on the citizens of Minamata, Kumamoto, Japan.

Directed by Andrew Levitas; additional key cast includes Tadanobu Asano, Katherine Jenkins and Jun Kunimura.

As a big Jonny Depp fan, I cannot wait to see this. Even more so since this is one of his more down to earth roles. I’m also in for the kindness and to, at the very least, see that the companies responsible are being less careless with human life.

Lily Robinson, Ryô Kase, Minami, Masayoshi Haneda, Akiko Iwase and Kenta Ogawa also star.

From Writer/director Wayne Roberts, The Professor is a new comedy/drama about a professor’s new approach to life after he’s diagnosed with a terminal illness.

Johnny Depp, Zoey Deutch, Rosemarie DeWitt and Ron Livingston are among the key cast.

So far, I can’t say that I’m a fan of the edit of this rather long trailer. But it is Johnny Depp, and I’d like for the finished product to be engaging and amusing.

Is it just me who feels that the title ‘The Professor’ is a tad incomplete? I mean, as wrong as it may be, the word ‘Nutty‘ just keeps popping up as the missing piece. Can’t think why.

Justine Warrington, Danny Huston, Siobhan Fallon Hogan, Paloma Kwiatkowski, Odessa Young, and Michael Kopsa also star.

Directed by Brad Furman (The Infiltrator  (2016), starring Johnny Depp, Forest Whitaker and Toby Huss, City Of Lies is a new crime/drama about the investigation into the murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G.

I didn’t realise how much I missed a character played by Johnny Depp, one where his face wasn’t almost completely hidden by makeup and prosthetics, until I saw him in this trailer.

The subject matter is almost too dark and disturbing for me personally to watch, but curious, I remain. I also trust that Depp and Whitaker will make it worthwhile.

Murder On The Orient Express has a very impressive cast list; one that includes, Kenneth Branagh who’s also the film’s director, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Penélope Cruz, Daisy Ridley and Josh Gad – to name just a few.  

Based on Agatha Christie’s famous novel of the same name, this mystery/crime/drama is set on a lavish train ride through Europe. A ride that has thirteen strangers stranded on a train and everyone is a murder suspect.

It’s up to Hercule Poirot (Branagh) to race against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again.

The very talented cast, the fashion, cinematography and story are all great reasons to watch this version of Murder On The Orient Express.

The filming style teased in this trailer is equally appealing, along with Hercule Poirot’s accent, particularly the way he says ‘evil.’

This  is a great teaser trailer because it’s the face of Johnny Depp’s Captain Jack Sparrow that fans can’t wait to see. Yet, he’s only on screen by name and illustration. Not to say that the reveal of Javier Bardem as Captain Salazer wasn’t also a visual delight.
