Directed by Marc Francis, Max Pugh and narrated by Benedict Cumberbatch, Walk With Me is a documentary that follows a community of Zen Buddhist monks and nuns whose lives are focused on mastering the art of mindfulness with well-known teacher Thich Nhat Hanh.
This documentary seems ideal for fans of mindfulness, and those a little curious about it, but haven’t bothered to find out more because it looks like a lot of hard work. ‘Isn’t sleep and general relaxation enough though?’, some in the latter group may or may not have wondered, probably.
According to the all knowing internet, ‘Mindfulness is a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique’.
I’ll eventually tune into this one – if only to find out whether the beautiful bass in Benedict Cumberbatch’s voice will prove as pleasantly distracting as this trailer suggests.
Happy Film Loving,
