Directed by Nicolai Fuglsig, 12 Strong is the true story of the first Special Forces team deployed to Afghanistan after 9/11. Their mission is to work with an Afghan warlord to take down the Taliban.
Once again, as I do with most war movies I watch, I have to ask the question, how likely is this film to take the place of The Hurt Locker as my favourite war movie? Right now, I’m uncertain. But of course, we’ll see.

I just watched Kathryn Bigelow’s Zero Dark Thirty last night. Makes me think of this one since it’s still so fresh in my memory. Have you seen it? She’s the director also behind The Hurt Locker!
That’s another movie I still haven’t seen. 😌 I’m generally not good at prioritising war films unless something really pulls me in. I really should though because it’s Bigelow.
